The AA have rated the hotel 3* for many years now.
Our last inspector awarded us a fantastic 78% Merit % Score saying;

"This fine old inn has played a central role in the town for centuries. Traditional features combine successfully with contemporary comforts; bedrooms are located in the main building and in an annexe. Guests can choose from an imaginative menu in either in the stylish restaurant or the conservatory."

We have been awarded an AA Rosette for our restaurants since 2007.

The Good Hotel Guide, first published 32 years ago, is totally independent. It receives no payments, hospitality or advertising from hotels selected for an entry in the printed Guide.
